As the first liquor
store in Wise County,
Wise Liquors I in Rhome, and
Wise Liquors II in Bridgeport, is able
to provide a wide selection of beer, wine and
liquor at affordable prices.
Jeff Hampton acquired the building
where Wise Liquors is located in 2002. When Rhome
residents voted in favor of their town becoming
wet, the opportunity was too good to pass up.
In may of 2007 the rersidents of Bridgeport voted
wet and Wise Liquors II opened the following September.
Wise Liquors is a family-owned business. It is
owned and operated by Heather and Jeff Hampton
and Heather's Parents, Creed and Ida Minnis. Heather
plans to keep Wise Liquors in the family.

105 US 81/287 in Rhome, Wise Liquors I
is housed in a 3,700 Sq. Ft. facility,
Wise Liquors II is located

liquor store to the Texas Motor Speedway. Wise

| "We're
expanding our variety all the time,"
Heather said. "Just
about every week, there's something new."
If Wise Liquors doesn't have what customers
are looking for, they are happy to special order
requests. In addition to having a wholesale
license that allows them to sell to bars, Wise
Liquors also offers case discounts on wine and
liquor and provides a 10 percent discount to
active and reserve military personnel, police
and firemen.
Wise Liquors also hosts Wine, Beer, and Spirit
tastings on a monthly basis.
Wise Liquors has also partnered
with Texas Music
Nation (TMN),an organization
of Texas musicians and performers. The store
sells TMN CDs and the money goes toward the
organization's relief fund. If performers are
hurt or equipment is stolen, the fund provides
monetary relief.
While providing Wise County with a wide variety
of alcoholic beverages, Heather said her employees
take precautions to ensure customers are of
legal age. All employees are certified by the
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission to check
identification, and they stop any person entering
the store who looks under age, Heather added.
Wise Liquors is open from 10:00
AM to 9:00 PM, Monday
through Saturday. |
